Stir until properly diluted. Strain over fresh ice (ideally one large cube) in a rocks glass. Express lemon oil over cocktail and rub around the rim before placing into the glass.
*To make Demarara syrup combine 2 parts Demarara sugar with 1 part hot water. Mix until syrup consistency.
